Basketball Facts

1- There can only be 5 people on each side of the court so it can be even

2- People 5 and 8 can play miniball because they can learn basic skills in a basketball environment.

3- Some people can do 2 pointers and 3 pointers as well as they can do toilet flush and slam dunks even little kids can do it.

4- In basketball there is only four quarters in a game and during the quarters your time runs out and you have to bring in players.

Holiday recount

“Yay!”I cheered as my whole family went to watch Titanic in 3D in the Cinemas on Tuesday morning. It was so great to spend time together as a family. We all went because It was nearly school and also we all deserved it because of all the chores we did for our papa, nana and our aunties. 

We had so much fun watching Titanic but it was quite sad in the middle and at the end because the ship sunk down because it hit into an iceberg in the water. At the end it was sad because Jack and Rose (the main characters) nearly died. Jack died but Rose survived because Jack was in the water and Rose wasn’t. All of my family members cried when nearly everyone died. 

After the movie my family and I went to the games room and played some games together. As fast as we could we run to the train we went because we were gonna miss our train. Luckily it wasn’t our train it was going to manukau but we didn't want to go there we wanted to go to back to G.I to go home. 

When we were home it was my aunt's birthday party and she was turning 24 Lucky Her!. We had so much fun on Tuesday the 17th, it was awesome to have a great day with my family. I wish we could do that next year, my family rocks for life as well as Miss G and the whole school. I love my teacher, I wonder if anybody else loves their teachers in their school. I liked that day because it was the best day of my life. At the end of the day we said happy birthday to my auntie, then we all sang...

My favourite thing from our trip

My best thing about Howick Historical Village in week - 5 was so amazing because we learnt knew things from the olden days.

Symbols Of The Holy Spirit

The Dove is a symbol of the Holy Spirit because it gives us peace all the time.

Finger of God is a symbol of the Holy Spirit because it helped and healed the sick.

The cloud is a symbol of the Holy Spirit because it leads us to Heaven.

Orienteering Week 1

On a hot sunny day, Mrs Tui walked into Room 3 with a man named Mr McGivern. Mr McGivern said “Hello room 3” and then he introduced himself to the class. Next Mr McGivern showed us how to follow a map.

First of all, my friend Valensia and I got a piece of paper that had a number on it. We had to put it somewhere around the class so people could guess where it was and write the letter on the paper down. Mrs Irene gave each of the students a paper that had numbers on it and we had to go off and find the number and match it to the alphabet.

When everyone went off we all found a lot in one go, that was so cool. After we had finished we all tried to figure out the word, everyone thought it was orienteering but guess what it was it was “Have a nice day” backwards.

After we had finished figuring out the word we went outside in our maths groups Pentagons, Circles, Squares and triangles. When we arrived to the fields we had to do an activity which was to go around finding clues and we only had to go in One direction no short cutting only one way.

Room 3 enjoyed playing Orienteering with Mr McGivern and Miss Ieren, It was an awesome lesson.

Tom And The Dragon

One day Tom asked his mum if he could go play near the pier, but his mum told him to not play in the cave because there was a dirty, scary dragon that eats kids.

When Tom entered the cave the dragon did not notice that Tom was there. As the dragon saw the boy he cried and he did not notice it was a little boy called Tom. The dragon peeked down and carried on crying in front of Tom. Tom’s mother had said “the dragon will barbecue you with his flaming fire coming out of his mouth”, Tom just stood there not being scared or worried.

After that they went to the beach and had such a great time together, because they realised that neither of them was going to hurt the others. When Tom went to play next to the pier he asked the dragon if he wanted to join him because Tom was so lonely by himself.
Tom always took great care of his friend the dragon and dragon always looked after Tom. The dragon was so happy to have a friend like Tom to like him and to respect each other.After when Tom and the dragon got to know each other then they became enemies forever.
